Why I built this.
I'm Alex Mahaffey. I'm a licensed Medicare broker, and I run an agency that helps people across the Southeast choose and manage their coverage.
Over the years I kept hearing the same thing from clients. A bill showed up for something they didn't recognize. A charge appeared for a visit they didn't remember. And when they called to ask about it, nobody could give them a straight answer — the claim was buried in codes that take a billing specialist to read.
These are people who worked their whole lives to earn these benefits. They shouldn't need a medical billing degree to know whether they're being charged correctly.
So I looked for something that would watch their claims for them, and explain what it found in language anyone could understand. It didn't exist.
Nobody was checking. So I built something that does.
